About Us...

Our success is due largely in part to the fact that Executive Director and Owner, Donna R. Fernandez, is a CODA (child of deaf adults) herself, hence the name for the company, CODA Link, Inc. Growing up as a CODA and with sign language being her first language, Donna was relied upon to interpret for her family as a young child (prior to the Americans with Disability Act), thereby establishing a keen understanding, greater knowledge and innate aptitude of the skills required to expressively and receptively facilitate the many idiosyncrasies and nuances in various forms across the continuum of signed communication. With over 25 years of experience in the field of interpreting and well versed in a variety of settings, she holds and maintains national certification (Certificate of Interpreting and Certificate of Transliterating (CI/CT)) from Registry Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). Donna has first hand understanding of the communication barriers that challenge this community. She brings extensive background knowledge and expertise to the field of interpreting. Her involvement and dedication to the community is much more than a business — it a heartfelt passion and love for the people she holds most dear. Our interpreters share in her vision and as a company, have the strong social responsibility and commitment to ensure professional services are provided.
